Born in Poland,  professor  for violin at the Musikhochschule  Hannover  (Music Univer- sity Hannover)  and one of   Boris  Bielenki  (chair David Oistrach)  pupils at the famous  Moscow   Tschaikovsky  Conservatory.

Simultaneously, violin and  musical  stimulation  from  the  likes of  Isaac Stern, Henryk Szeryng,  Nathan Milstein  and   Yehudi Menuhin  contributed to his violinistic growth. 


                                                


Discovered  while  still  a  student,  Adam Kostecki  began  concertizing  as  a  soloist  and  chamber  musician, (he  made  his  debut as  a  soloist  in 1967,  playing  the violin  concerto  in f sharp minor  by Henryk  Wieniawski with  the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra),  a  performing  career  which  has spanned  some  decades.

 

A  prizewinner  himself  of  domestic  and  international  chamber  music  and  violin  competitions (Opole,  Colmar  and  Paganini).

 

After  finishing  his  studies  in  1972  he  moved  to  Germany  where  he  worked  for  some  years  as  the leader  of  several  top  German  orchestras. 

From 1983 - 1989  Adam Kostecki  was  assistant  artistic  director  with  the  Polish  Philharmonic  Chamber  Orchestra  and  since  1990  he  has  been  director  of the  Kammerorchester Hannover.  

In 1992  he was  appointed and  invited  to teach  as  professor  of  violin  at  the   Music University Hannover (Germany).              

The  Music  Academy  enjoys  a  reputation  as  a consummate  violin  school  and  the  involvement  of artists  such as J. Joachim and L. Auer, and  more  recently  A. Gertler  and  R. Shevelov   (successor  to  the  legendary Ivan  Galamian  at  the  Juilliard  School  in  New York)  is  a  testament  to  this.

Adam Kostecki's  concert  activities  have  taken  him  around  the world.   Concerts  in  Europe ( Spain,  French, Belgium,  Netherland,  Poland, Turkey  and  Germany),  South America  (Brasil,  Urugway) and   the  Far East  (Japan,  Korea, China).

A  diverse CD recording (Labels - Le Chant du Monde, Thorofon, Selene Records and Fox Records ), radio  and  television  appearances  ( Polish Television,  Senado. During  recent  years,  Adam Kostecki  gave  many  international  master  classes : Holland,  Switzerland,  French, Poland,  Germany,  USA,  South America,  Japan, Korea and China / on the famous Shanghai Conservatory/,   and   is  now  in  demand  as  a  jury  member  such prestigious  national  and  international  chamber and violin competitions  as  Poznan,  Hannover, Lodz, Bonn, and  recently (mai  2007) in  Novossibirsk ( Zakhar Bron Competition).

2010  Adam Kostecki was invited to several competition as a jury mamber.          Gorizia (" Lipizer"), Odessa ("D.Oistrakh") and Novossibirsk. 

His  students  are  members and leaders  of  foremost  German  orchestras  and  prize-winners  of  national  and  international competitions.   Since 2000  Adam Kostecki  has  been  Artistic  Director  of  music  festivals   Summer Music Academy  and  Springtime  Malkocin  (Poland).
